Jacque and I met at this eclectic coffee shop late June. I had reached out looking for an expectant mama that would allow me to photograph her birth and Jacque responded. When she walked through the doors I knew right away this was going to be the perfect pairing. She was quite possibly the most adorable little mama ever. She was so petite, yet had a spirit that filled the whole room. As we sat there across the table, we talked about future baby Sheehan and Jacque's plans for her birth. As we sat there I couldn't help but be so incredibly excited and giddy! We decided to move forward and go be partners in this venture!

Over the next several weeks I waited with excitement and anticipation for that phone call from Jacque. Every ding of the phone had me on edge. At times it felt like I was having a baby all over again! 

When I got the call from Jacque that baby Richard had received his eviction notice for Monday morning at 41 weeks,  I spent the evening packing and re-packing everything for the big day. 

As soon as I walked in the room I could tell this was going to be an amazing day! Jacque had funny memes posted all around the room and a playlist that consisted of "Salt n Pepper." I knew Jacque was about to handle this delivery like a boss.

Labor progressed slowly at first but I could tell the contractions were getting more and more intense. Brendan was a kind and gentle support for Jacque. Seeing the two of them interact I couldn't help but smile knowing baby Richard was going to be in great hands. 

At one point I stepped out of the room for just a few minutes. Baby Richard decided it was go time! I could describe the delivery, but words simply wouldn't do justice. I hope these pictures give you just a glimpse of the beauty I witnessed in that room. I will be forever grateful this family allowed me into one of the most intimate times in their lives.
