The Storytelling Mentorship: Mastering Business and Emotion in Your Photography

 

HEY PHOTOGRAPHERS!

If you're here chances are it's for one of two reasons.

You are a photographer wanting to truly learn to evoke emotion and create images that truly tell a story for the families you serve. 

Or

You are wanting to really learn how to run a profitable business that charges your worth and doesn't lead to burn out. 

Helping other creatives with these two things is one of my favorite things to do! 

Taking pictures goes far beyond the technical aspect of an image. Once you've mastered that it's time to start really getting to know your clients and the stories that are unique to them. You have the ability to create images that feel like magic, and I'd love to help you do it!

And once you're doing that-you absolutely need to charge what you're worth! There is so much that goes into running a legal, profitable business and I'd love to share with you some tricks and tips I have learned along the way!

 

So what would this look like?

There are a couple of different types of mentorships that I offer, depending on where you're at and what you're hoping to learn! 

My basic mentoring package includes 2 hours of zoom education. This is a time for you and I to chat about whatever your photography heart desires. This time could be focused around camera settings, lighting, posing, pricing, etc. It really is catered to you.

 

My favorite mentoring package is the shoot along. I will design and organize a family session from start to finish. This includes client communication, styling, location, all of the things. Then we will go together to shoot this session. You'll get to see my workflow for a family session and how I interact with and direct my clients. You'll be surprised to learn how carefree and relaxed these sessions can feel while producing the most authentic of images. After the session we will have 2 hours of follow up zoom or in-person education. You can watch my culling process and see how I would edit an image from the session. This is a great time for you to ask any questions you may have and try out some editing on your own. This mentorship is jam packed with some much practical and hands on information!!

So give me a breakdown of what's included:

 

Depending on which mentorship you choose a variety of things will be included:

1:1 mentoring with me to ensure individualized attention.

Shoot along with me on a family session - bring your camera. I  will bring the family and the expertise. Watch as I interact with my clients, listen to exactly what I say, how I direct, how I pose and how she gets the family to get comfortable in front of the camera and truly connect with each other. I will set up the images and you get to shoot the scene. And of course, you can use the images for your own portfolio!

  •  A pre-mentoring questionnaire so that I can tailor the mentor session to best suit your needs.
  •  A pre- session Zoom call to discuss the workflow and plan for the mentoring photo session.
  •  A post-mentoring Zoom call after your next family photo session. I will give feedback and answer any of your questions after you’ve had a chance to implement the things you learned in the session.  
  •  For zoom mentorships you get 2 hours of education, tailored around exactly what you want to dive into: business, taxes, posing, client communication, styling, etc.
  •  A new friend for life:)

 

 

Mentorship Packages begin at $600 and go up to $1595 for the full day follow along experience.
