As a family there are so many moments that string together to form who you really are. Some of those moments are joyful and free and some of those moments carry pain and struggle. In all of those stages something remains constant and that is connection. These moments between you and your family connect together to tell a story. A unique story. Some tell these stories with words. I love to tell them with pictures.
I love capturing families in the light of the golden hour. The soft light and sun-flare beautifully captures the way you engage with your little ones. Though I do get some posed portraiture, my focus is on those in-between moments: the way they look at you inquisitively, the curiosity in their face as they explore nature, the way their noses scrunch up when they giggle, or the way they fit on your hip right now
I know that when many people hear “family photo session” their stress level rises a bit. What will I wear? How will I get my children to cooperate? Where would we even do a session? What do I do with all of those pictures afterward? My hope is to take some of that stress away and help walk you through this process! The planning is one of my favorite parts. It allows me to get to know you as a family and to ultimately help you design your dream shoot. This experience can be beautiful and painless. When you come to your session I want you to feel confident in the process and ready to just have a good time. One of our first steps in this process is a pre-consultation. This can be in your home, over coffee or even over the phone. We will talk through all of the details, start to finish. This meeting will help me get to know you and get a vision for what I’m shooting at our session. My hope is that by the end of this you will have beautiful memories and fine art images to hang on your walls and place in albums.
