There is a lot to think about when you are expecting a new baby, but one thing I can definitely take off your plate is when and how to do the maternity photography session.
I like to ideally schedule a maternity session before the 36 weeks mark on the pregnancy. This helps just in case baby makes an early arrival. I like to chat about what you would like from your session during the first trimester to help have a clear plan for the session.
Also, I can help with the where part of the session. This family and I discussed the style of maternity session they wanted and locked in on an outdoor session. I really try to get a sense of my client’s style when making suggestions and photographing them. As you can see their style really came through in this gorgeous hillside photoshoot.
Some other tips to help make a seamless maternity session experience are in the little details. What to wear is a common question I get. My best advice is to wear solid colors and complimentary colors. That really helps put the focus on you and your moments with baby before they are born.
Hopefully you found these tips helpful, and I would love the opportunity to help you document your special maternity session.
