1. You realize how quickly these years with our little ones is passing.

It's not a scare tactic. It's a truth that any of us with children has found to be proven time and time again. As a mother of three littles myself, I am so aware of the their that is time. We have a pre-teen that was crawling yesterday and an 8 month old that I swear was just born. How do these days stretch out but these years fly by? It is priority to me that even though I am in the midst of the struggle and can barely remember my name some days, that I have document these milestones and their childhood. 

2. Your children need to see that you showed up. Of course we know and they know, but as they get older and begin to have families of their own, these pictures will be one of the only reminders of what their mama was like. That we weren't just born old, but  that we were there and present and loved them with our everything. We weren't perfect. But we were there. We were there for the making cookies, for the tantrums, for the scraped knees, for the cuddles. All of it. 

3. You want something to look at when the days are hard. When you're in the thick of it, these images on your walls will remind you that your family is your why. That even in the hard seasons where our kids are challenging, there is evidence of their hearts and who they really are. I don't force smiles and poses. But I will document your children for who they are and what beauty they bring to your family. Eh hem...this is also your reminder to print your pictures. 

4. You want more than just someone to "take a few good pics." You want poetry. You want art. You want images that make you feel something. Images that you can't just hire anyone to create. Images that tell a story without words. 

5.You want someone that you can trust with your most precious treasures-your family. Taking photos is intimate. And when newborns and children are involved, you don't just want anyone in that space. You want someone that is professional and equipped to help you.
